Its appearance in the Stalingrad missions (and potential use in multiplayer maps like Moscow, Railyard, Kalach, Harbor and Leningrad) is anachronistic, as the rifle was produced from October 1943 onward (and the Battle of Stalingrad ended in February 1943). The scoped variant is only available in single-player, and, despite being the same rifle and thus having the same caliber, in-game it nonsensically doesn't share the same ammunition as the non-scoped variant as is the case with most video games, this is likely due to gameplay balancing reasons, so the player may not take advantage of using it as a sniper rifle and collecting additional ammo from non-scoped variants. The Gewehr 43 is a German semi-automatic service rifle chambered in the 7.92x57mm Mauser caliber, fitted with a detachable 10-round box magazine. The player reloading a Trench gun Rifles Gewehr 43 45", and is the standard sidearm of the American Forces throughout the game.

This will always start you at the beginning of the level. For example: devmap moscow will start you on the Moscow level with cheats enabled. If this happens, use the devmap command with the name of the map you are on to activate the cheats. Note: Some people may have trouble with the devmap command not enabling cheats. Press ~ (tilde) during game play to display the console window, then enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function. After the level loads, press ~ (tilde) to display the console window again, then enter devmap as a command. Press ~ (tilde) to display the console window then enter developer 1 as a command to enable cheat mode. Select "Game Options" at the main menu, then choose the option to enable the console.
